A little old lady who lives on our street fell over last night on her way back from the shops
and was lying on the pavement .

Whilst waiting for the ambulance to arrive a mobility scooter driver tried to squeeze past
And bumped into foot removing her shoe

He then reversed had another go a ran over her shoe.!

I do hope someone pointed out the error of his ways. If I had been there I would have been less than polite to him!

He was just so inconsiderate he just kept driving.
Could of quite easily turned around back to the junction and crossed to the other side of the road.

I'd probaby have offered to tip him out of his mobility device if he did that! How rude. Bad enough to be injured without being worried about being run over again!

And knowing how biddies are (cos'n I am one, old or not) I bet she felt embarrassed at causing that git some inconvenience.......some people don't half need a clip round the ear. People like him give the disabled a bad rep.

Sometimes I think that because a person is old they think it gives them the right to behave like this. When my children were small and we were at a crowded event I sometimes used to notice old folk shoving past my boys to get to the front, with no appologies or politeness.

I'm not sure what age you are classed as old...I supposed I'm old. My dads nearly 93 and more like a young man trapped in an old body.

Poor lady, I hope she's ok.

Poor lady! I'd have been less than polite, too. I have a neighbour like that. The access to her house is along our drive, with the only place to load from our house being on the drive. Three days ago I had to load two boxes into my little truck. She could see this, but despite also the engine running (clearly I hadn't gone in for tea and biscuits, I was bent down picking up one of the boxes from the step!), she put her hands on the horn and gave it a beep beep beep! She knew I'd seen her, could see there were only two boxes, but no, I was holding her up for a whole 30 seconds because she has to drive everywhere at the age of 87 (she's actually very sprightly!). Drive for morning paper at 8am, drive to local shop, drive to other local shop, drive here, drive there. Honest, the woman drives me nuts - she does about 5 trips out a day!

Thought about getting revenge yesterday, as I pulled onto the drive from our yard area and she was walking down it. Missed golden opportunity, there!!!

There used to be a very inconsiderate mobility scooter driver in the Colwick area of Nottm.

He used to think everyone had to make way, stop for him etc. He would drive through you with his gaze fixed straight ahead.

As usual he drove straight across a major road junction, the lorry did not stop the....................hearse did.

She's broken her hip and had an operation this morning.
She having her foot x rayed tomorrow
She must be in her 70s very sprightly for her age, she would walk into
The village everyday about 1 1/2miles and get the bus back only in bad weather and

The scooter driver is only disabled during office hours.
He takes his dog for a drag around the local park tied to the back of extremely large and Very fast scooter
The dog has learnt not to stop and sniff.
Feel like letting his tyres down on his scooter when he's propping up the bar
At the local pub spending his disability allowance.

GT, can't you report him to the police? I thought mobility scooters had to have reg plates and there are rules about how & where you drive them.

The DWP have a fraud hotline, if they stop his benefit they might reposess his scooter as well.
