  • Arrrrggggghhhhh.....Slightly frustrated with myself....

Ok, I know I've asked this before, but will someone PLEASE tell me AGAIN (!!!!) how to reduce the size of photographs so that I can upload them onto here?
I know it involves downloading something, but I've been trawling about on here for ages looking for the thread that explained it the last time and I'm b*****d if I can find it! Sorry for being such a numpty...

You need VGA sizing on your camera preferably, which will give you Internet sized photographs. I find it a real faff to get them on here, hence I don't bother.

I download from my camera to computer, then select the images from there. I leave them as small images - if anyone is interested they can click on them to make them bigger.

That's what I generally do, VG, but for some reason recently ALL the photos I take have too many pixels - or something.

I always thought it was a faff but I finally managed to work out how to upload photos straight from my iphone- I just crop a small border off and they upload straight from my phone- it's brilliant! I have to stop myself from uploading everything I take in the garden for fear of boring you grapes! But I'll show you my hellebores that I took yesterday - they are lovely at the moment!!!

Ooer Mrs.I have never had to resize pictures & my camera is permanently set on maximum size & pixels.

Which way do you go to add pic's ?

Bigmallly told me a way to do it. I've been trying to add some phots but it tells me they are too big. He told me how to resize them, it was easy to do and worked.... but I can't remember what he said! I have re-asked him, but he hasn't got back to me yet. When he does i'll let you know. It's really easy when you know how! - Just remember to write it down - I forgot

Ok, have remembered! Open up microsoft office picture manager. On the left it should show you a folder with your photos in. Click the folder, open up the photo you want to upload. On the right there is a box which says Resize settings. Click on the circle which says predefined size and width. In the dropdown box click on Large. Click ok. Your photo should have an orange coloured text box underneath it. If it's worked the title of your photo should have an asterix beside it. So my photo is called view1 now it says view1*. Then when you go back onto the grow your own website and upload your photos they are now an accepted size and they'll upload! I hope this is not too long winded, it does work
