I've been thinking about this old chap ever since #1 Son told me. I do hope he's going to be ok.

A couple of years ago, my Mum slipped and broke her ankle. My Dad didn't have a clue how to use most of the household appliances. My Mum had to give him instructions on washing laundry, how to peg it out, how to use the dishwasher, and how to cook! He was hopeless, and that was with her there to dish out instructions.

I hope the poor Guy is OK...

I don't know if #1 took any details but I wonder, if he did, would it be ethical to phone the chap sort of along the lines of 'Just wondered if you'd had any more trouble with your clock/ is everything ok now?'

I'll ask #1 what he thinks, cos there's just something about this old chap that bothers me. I think it's his kids.....

A thought: What would the old chap think if he only knew that quite a few people on an international forum where worried about him? I hope he'd be touched, pleased even.
