Aside from the strangeness of a 3 year break before attempting to resume services, you gotta be impressed that a motoring organization is following post on a gardening forum

As far as I am aware with the AA it is the member that is covered NOT a particular car (except when adding European cover)
He who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame

I'm not getting into another disagreement, We had cover, for a car, with the AA. The AA have a range of membership offers, hence the supervisor being unable to remember where in the terms and conditions a certain clause was. It must be hard for the poor man, being asked questions about the AA all the time with such a short term memory issue.

Perhaps you could just let me have the email address of the CEO MR Andrew Strong instead? So that I can copy him into my FSA complaint.

As VC asked, how about explaining this policy on here rather than trying to get me to email you separately? We're all ears. Or eyes.

And, Dear AA, if you can't put a satisfactory explanation on here, there is absolutely no way that I will ever give you my custom.

VC - surely this guy, assuming it is a guy, is having us on - hard to believe that any reputable responsible organisation would make such a post, but then again it is hard to believe they could behave in such a disreputable fashion in the first place - the guys who do such a great job out on the road would be ashamed of them - somebody in the organisation should get the sack and they should be sued for harassment and attempted fraud.

You may not have to give them your custom - they might just take it without your permission anyway.

I find it very disturbing that 'the AA' have registered with this forum and posted on this thread, rather than dealing with the (ex)customer directly, and, not having these outrageous practices in the first place.

That struck me too, Sarz - surely they should be attending to customers, not trawling around Gardening Forums

Different complaint but they appear at post 22 ... AA Membership Woes - Page 2 ... so you gotta think they are permanently scanning for complaints on forums

I'd be very wary of sending anything to someone popping up on a forum claiming to be the AA, sounds too much like a phishing scam to me. You'd think a large company would have more sense, anyone can set up an account in a forum so how can you trust the identity the of the poster.

                              The email address seems legit.

However I won't be emailing them as my trusty supervisor is investigating, isn't he

I'm with the AA at the moment I got a cracking deal through a cashback site, 12 months basic cover for £9.99, I think it runs out shortly. I'll have to sticky my 2016 diary.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
