A bit of searching makes me fairly certain its:
Oldham Corporation Transport (Type 1). “O.C.P.T” above crest & "Sapere Aude"
Nickel, two-piece convex, 23.5 mm.

Don't imagine so - the site I found the info on had it listed as £4.50 but this is a bit scruffy after being in soil for a few years.

£4.50 is lots of seeds, or even a bag and a half of compost - don't be too quick to write it off!

No its a proper button raised dome and metal loop on the back.

The really scabby poundcoins fit in though. Only found about 7 of them in total though.

Perhaps you can make a small purse with a button closer to hold those scabby coins?
