Food for a baby robin would be caterpillers, insects and meal worms fed whole by the parents who then wait and take out the fecal sac - you can order mealworms (live ones!) from CJ Wildbird Foods, www.birdfood.co.uk, they might also be able to give you some advice.

Good Luck, just think if you get that 1 in 1000 chance and it hatches you might have a pet robin!

Not being funny but Mrs D's cleavage would be the ideal temperature for the egg

because they can count, you would need to do what cookoos do and dislodge an origal egg, by trying to save this one dont think they would want to distroy another

only days birds carnt count, first day of being broody, i.e. sitting on eggs, and first day of hatching, if you have day old chicks then put them under, otherwise they know, and will kill it.

Looked up the egg in my book...a plain blue egg is probably a dunnock's (hedge sparrow). It says that cuckcoo will often lay in this nest...perhaps the cuckcoo threw it out to make way?...elementary my dear Watson

A robin's egg is a buff -marked with a light reddish brown. Is it safely nesstled in Mrs D's bra then?
