Bloody hell steve - can we swap jobs cause you must spend absolutely every hour of every day to have your plot looking the way it does. Good work.

Hi Sewer Rat, not quite that many hours about 16-20 per week, I had to give up work 5yrs ago for health reasons, so now I'm a house husband and allotmenter, I sometimes wish I could still work however your health is the most important thing in life, thanks Steve.

Over the years, we have reckoned that a full allotment needs about 7 hrs a week to keep ontop of it. Of course it depends on what you grow, but with 2 of us working it, we can either go down Sat and/or Sun and maybe one evening in the week. Our allotments have never looked as good as your though!!! Well done you!!

After seeing what you do with your allotment and your pc (Blog-wise) you can't be serious (no disrespect meant) - why on earth would you want to do anything else with your time!

As you say, your health is the most important thing - and it's something we too often take for granted. It's not util we lose it that we appreciate it. That said, would still like to walk in your shoes for a while - being a house husband and allotmenteer must keep you pretty busy, not to mention fit.
