      No sign even of buds on the Hawthorn hedge near my plot. A couple of sections of it are very sheltered and usually flower in the 2nd week of May, but nowt as yet. Looks like my beans will be languishing in the root-trainers for a while yet

        Ain't that strange SW, all my beans are in the ground, and the broadies are all flowering. What are you about 160 miles north of me. I frustrate the old man who's only 70 miles north of me but at least 5 degrees and a jumper colder.

        I love sending him pictures of whats in the ground so he can salivate....
        I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

                            Noticed on our dog walk that some of the May blossom is out here - I couldn't find anyone else so I clouted one of the dogs does that count

                                May Flower is just out, so are apples, Plums, Cherries & Quince. Medlar just has colour showing through the bud. Loads of blossom on everything though
