And Mikey's not the only one to get his hands on your seed VVG
Throughout South Wales, your babies are growing, each clutching a photo of their Virgin Veg Grower mother.
There are many scandalous stories being told after chapel.............

I'm going to apply the same logic. I don't tend to label things. The only one that is labelled, is Aunty VVG's ukrainian purple.

The year I got my first greenhouse I grew the basics, gardeners delight, Ailsa Craig and a beef tomato of some kind. They did well but my sisters kept running off with them. The next year I grew more or less the same but gave my sisters baby plants and instructions at the start of the season and therefore had plenty for myself.(I inadvertently also revived the competitive spirit in my sisters)

A few years, 3 greenhouses later, (and obviously under the influence of people on here) I tend to grow lots of different and unusual varieties and still grow extra for my sisters. However at the beginning of this year one of them did ask if I'd please grow Ailsa Craig and Gardeners Delight again as they really liked them. So it's back to basics! We'll not mention the other 8 or 9 varieties.

I label...I lose labels ....labels fade... if I like them I save seeds from them ..easy

The year before last I tested a popular tom for a basket (one there was a difference of opinion on) gave a plant to my Dad to grow on as well....his verdict ...What on earth was that horrible tasteless tom you gave me , only good for bulking up sauce
Needless to say it's not been grown again .......

No trip, I have plenty of other healthy plants, just disappointed with the performance of this variety. Seeds were from Seed Parade. It was a request from someone at work, so I kept a few. Wonder what's happened to the ones I've given to her?
The roll eyes was at the weather, but me thinks you know that ...
Must recheck mine but as far as I remember the stems were quite strong and I am quite looking forward to eating some of them, if they go on to produce fruit, that is
As you do, I got a bit carried away sowing and have 24 different varieties on the go, so I have a few new varieties to look forward to..weather permitting

That's very true. They always look close to death, but they're absolutely my favourite tomato. They appreciate being planted deep to make up for the initial spindliness, but go on to produce a huge crop.
