Was going to suggest perhaps its to stop the wood from drying out and cracking but having seen the picture the wood is half dry, so i recon he is trying to encourage the weeds to grow round them for you to go and cut
He is actually watering the cement dry mix that secures the table and stools to the ground thus preventing the kids from knocking them over - the only completely true thing in my original post was that he did call me a rude name when I took the picture as he feared it could be used to make him look silly; as if I would do such a thing
I altered the picture a little to make the cement less obvious.

I just wondered if he watered them because he's seen dogs pee'ing on them and was being nice. But he does look really furtive.
Maybe it's not why he's doing what he's doing, maybe we should be worrying about what he's doing in his imagination!
Yes, I love the Natural Stupidity and testing the water with both feet. I also like the one 'how to tell if a plant is a weed...'
There are some good ones on here and they always cheer me up when I see them. Probably because my memory is so bad I'm surprised all over again.
Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!

I never thought of that as a possible reason - when I post the picture on the site notice board - I'll add that as a possible reason showing him as a caring individual - nice one
I agree - some of the quotes show great imagination - I use the 'how to tell if a plant is a weed' one frequently and it always gets a laugh from the newbies and a laugh and a nodding head from the more experienced.

I was going to ask if he was watering the cement in but I thought you'd know that and wouldn't have been fooled, surely.
I only posted it for a laugh - I did think someone would reach the right conclusion -however it seemed to have generated a lot of amusement so objective achieved
