Hmmmmmmmm, call me an old cynic but could the operative word here be .... new ??????

Monsanto doesn't plan to apply for the approval of new genetically modified seeds in Europe due to low demand from farmers and stiff opposition from the general public

Are they to continue with old/existing genetically modified seeds in Europe ???????

Call me a cynic but the story I read was that they were stopping lobbying; which to me means they have found another way.

Anything that brings Monsanto and the like down is fine by me though.

Yeah, I figured they've found another way in as well. And I thought they'd probably just decided to spend their time and make their money down this way where a load of people still seem to feel the love.

Can't find the thread for the Monanto March that was on, but I was chatting to someone about it and they said their way quite a lot of marchers in the capital cities and there was one on the coast round here, but I didn't hear about it till it was over.

We've just got to keep on top of them. If they are kept busy dodging news of their machinations then it will mean they have less time to get the stuff out there unnoticed.
