I have them and generally have hot water (and plenty of it) from March to October.... So no immersion or oil needed to heat water in those times.. Other times are weather dependent...
Mind are tubes not panels...Last edited by Tripmeup; 21-06-2013, 08:06 PM.I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

That sounds much bigger than mine Mine's only 2.38 kwp in total.
I'm expecting a cheque for £270 for the power generated between 1st April -June 15th but I'm on a different tariff to yours so you can't really compare. Whatever, its very satisfying when you know that you can run the washing machine, for example, and its not costing you anything for electricity and earning you money at the same time.

We only had solar and a couple of rarely used ancient gennys for two years.
On grid now, but not selling for various reasons but we are using the excess power to heat water through an emersion system.Le Sarramea https://jgsgardening.blogspot.com/
