  • Toenails; To Paint or Not To Paint?

A serious topic, as I'm sure you'll all agree.

I'm not a toenail painter by nature. But I've decided my feet are in good condition and I thought I'd paint my toenails. I bought a fetching metallic copper shade, but it's horrible on. The delicate pink is invisible. The vamp red looks like my toes have been to a Halloween party without me.....

So....to paint, or not to paint? And what colour?

Being a manly man and all that

Seriously I love when my wife paints her nails as it means summer is coming she paints them ready for flip flop weather

      Black or a deep purple?

I got talking to a lady in Chavda. As wrong as it sounds, she showed me her deep purple toenails. They looked lovely, but I wasn't brave enough. I think I should've been braver with hindsight.

Yeah it's quite a deceiving colour. Go for it, it'll soon come off

I thought you painted nails to match whatever you're wearing - but how would I know - I've never painted mine. The last time I had painted fingernails was when I got married.............its just not me dahlings

As my finger nails are absolutely rubbish I tend to paint my toenails during the summer.

I do mine a light shade of brown. Not obvious but it seems to go with whatever I wear. Sort of a suntan colour.

                Different colours in a pattern...

I have very occaisionally done my finger nails all different colours. I love nail varnish but it doesn't stay on very well.

I very rarely paint my fingernails - although they are always quite long. My fingernails are really bendy so varnish chips off really quickly, and I hate that so I don't paint them.

So will having painted toenails be odd? I won't have matching fingernails....

...well I only paint my toenails and not my fingernails- does that make me odd?

Yes Silly little things like that are great for cheering yourself up and it's very useful that they're easy to show off, or not, depending on how you feel and the situation. My fingernails don't bear inspection but Mr Seahorse often paints my toenails. Last time it was an emerald glitter. G'wan, g'wan, g'wan.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

My MinL used to paint her toenails, fingernails, spectacle frames and walking stick the same colour - usually pillar box red or putrid green. Put me off nail varnish for life

My right toenails are all painted Vamp red. The smallest two toes are a different shade of red because on the other three I had the copper that I've painted over with the red.

OOooops.......no nail varnish remover DD must've sneaked off with that.
