Just read BBC News - Glastonbury Festival: Rolling Stones excitement builds
      Amused by this........
"Even younger revellers on their way to see dance act Chase and Status, said they would pay a visit to the Pyramid stage.
"I wouldn't normally go to see them because they're old," explained one. "Why would you want to go see that?
"But I'll do five minutes just so I can say 'yes, I have seen The Rolling Stones.'""

I'd willingly "do five minutes"..........and all the rest

Hahaha, VC! Nutter. I've seen the Stones, and they were ace! Fantastic night.

Mr.G doesn't 'do' crowds, so I know he wouldn't want to go. I'd be there like a shot...

Nope..........but the Beatles made it to the top so why not the Carrot Root Flies as support act to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers?

I couldn't hack it - don't even want to imagine coping with a cripple in all that mud. I'd love the camping bit or, if'n I had enough money, the glamping bit and the atmosphere but I don't want to queue for an hour to go for a wee.

I'm not a Stones fan anyway. I do know one of guys running security - he makes a fortune selling abandoned tents on ebay afterwards.

It's on my list too, but a bit disappointed with this year's line up... Not a Stones fan at all...

Done it some years ago, several years over. Not a Stones fan either. Gutted to find out that HIM were at Download.

AM a Stones fan but watching last night on TV, not sure whether they have done it so much that they think could do it whilst asleep or were actually asleep.

Wouldn't dream of going to Glasto - far too big...I used to love going to Reading but probably because I was able to get tickets to the guest area; went once for one day on the punter side and it was exhausting.

We do go to smaller festivals though - none booked this summer but the best was the first Wilderness Festival as the line up was spectacular. Mercury Rev did the whole of Deserter's Songs album. Brilliant brilliant brilliant.
