I know French sugar is very different to English sugar- but I wish I had more experience to know exactly what to do to compensate!

( plum and orange ...and plum and cinnamon)...and yes I added lemon juice and it's still sickly sweet and not set.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother!
Did you leave the stones in for the cooking and then remove them?

      • As this is a family forum, I'll restrain my language but I am 'somewhat vexed' that after a determined campaign by myself, other parents and the teachers that had all but stopped irresponsible and dangerous parking outside my youngest's school, the council resurfaced the road over the summer but haven't yet put back the zig-zags or the yellow lines. Have a guess where all those selfish twits are parking again *screams*

I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

        • Contact your local council highways department, and asked to speak to someone in charge of your local council depot. If you get to speak to the right person, you should get it resolved pretty quickly.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Ring them , oh very apologetic! Ill get man back etc, decide to go to Plot, turn corner, spot Water Van! Oh yes says man, I was replacing your water meter, the 'handle' came off? Filled in paperwork, put it through Wrong door! Sorry!
Well I was in the house you could have knocked and told me!

There is a team on their way! to fix it!

Go to Plot, dig potatoes, etc, return home! They are now 'digging up pavement!! Well 1 is, 3 are watching!

              • The caretaker of the school where we have a community allotment thought he was helping by leaving both doors of the polytunnel open 'to let it cool down a bit'

We now have caterpillars on the tomatoes, caterpillars on the courgettes, caterpillars on the brassica seedlings we only planted the week before, which are now nothing more than green stalks, and the beets and chard which were ready for harvest are now mere skeletons.

I wouldn't mind quite as much, but he left the doors closed during the really hot spell and has only decided to open them now its getting colder?!?!?

Go figure that one out if you can?
