Whatever keeps eating the leaves on my leeks.......I would say a wabbit but if it is then judging by the huge pile of currants it's one hellova big bunny
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber
Drove all the way to a popular mill shop today to collect fabric ordered to make cushions for my bro and his wife. Reversible stuff in deep pink/cream. Staff at t'mill said the pink colourway was out of stock, so they ordered me teal/chocolate instead. WTF? And then they were surprised when I said I didn't want it
And some beggar blocked us in, so we couldn't get out of our parking space and we had no idea which one of the many retail places the bleddy driver was in. Half an hour later he sauntered out of a motoring emporium and just drove off - not even an apologetic look on his face. G!t.

People who like to change the way things are done because there is a new method that doesnt involve any effort. It rarely works or doesnt work nearly as well, but if you question it the answer you get is "Oh thats old fashioned, So is breathing, but its still very popular )
Question to OH this morning "We will be eating a bit earlier than usual this evening as we are going out; are you sure you will want the lamb steaks?"
"Oooh yes, I can always eat lamb." So I get the steaks out of the freezer and defrost them. Five minutes ago "I don't think I want the lamb, it's too early to eat much."
Arrrgghhhh!
I like lamb shanks, and you used to be able to buy them in Tesco, but they don't seem to have them anymore, to cook from scratch I mean, I think they must be using them in their 'finest meal'.? And maybe this should be on the rant thread, but the price of lamb!!

Dorothy, they do sell them in Tesco, on the butchers counter which is good as you can pick one out and pay a scandalous price
If you really want to be ripped off paying for lamb, go to W@itrose.
My mother is on the warpath. She has telephoned both the sister and I to say that she has booked us in to some unknown hairdresser the day before my father's party. Not only has she booked us in, she has told the hairdresser that we both have long hair and we both want it cut short!!
Apparently, long hair 'at our age' is a 'selfish indulgence' that neither of us have time to indulge. This is blatant b*ll*x. We have both had long straight hair since childhood (Ma used to inflict torturous treatments upon us to attempt Shirley Temple curls - never worked) and we have both looked after it. Now, I could see long hair being time consuming when our children were wee, but they are all grown now and the sister is a Nana.
We are both enraged and the sister has telephoned the hairdresser to cancel the appointments. We may be celebrating His Grumpiness's 80th, but she carries on, we will never celebrate Mother's......

We only have a little Tesco, not an Express, but doesn't have a butchers counter, I can go to a bigger one, that does have butchers counter, but as you say so expensive.
Just eaten, the Moroccan lamb, (adapted) was good, + nice glass red.
