Neighbour has just got a dog.
Neighbour works away from home.
Neighbour drops into feed dog once a day.
Dog is miserable and whines and howls and cries. All day. Poor dog and poor us.

But at least it has water and shelter and a garden to run around in. I guess.

Five mosquito bites to add to the three horsefly bites from the weekend. I itch.

Un-rant, though, as I think the dog has gone - I guess neighbour was just "looking after" it. Sort of. Very ancient choc labrador who we went and talked to every hour!

Car Insurance companies AGAIN!!!!!!! Actually the same moan about the same company, who have decided to 'investigate' my 'complaint' and have found against me.

Firstly, I didn't make a complaint - I TOLD THEM I WASN'T PAYING THEIR FEE! How difficult is that to understand. It has already cost them more than the £40.50 to chuff about with their 'investigation' and all the paperwork. What's the matter with these people FFS!

No, Ma, we are not inviting all the crusty old rellies to this wedding. We do not 'have to be seen to be doing the right thing'. The 'right thing' is what the couple want to do, not what your outdated etiquette demands. So, tough.

Gah! I have no issues with people being veggie or vegan. I couldn't do it myself, but that's ok.

Debating about whether meat-eaters should/would want to eat meat/tissue grown in a lab from stem cells instead of breeding animals for meat - we were having an interesting discussion....

However, please don't tell me that I should only eat meat if I've killed it myself (etc), and then when I explain that I have done that, call me a "savage, murdering b*tch with no heart" - apparantly I'm no better than a child-molester....

Rational argument I can deal with...random displays of complete weirdo I'm not so sure about....

People who abandon dogs.

Having ranted about my neighbour it now transpires that the dog is not his but just turned up at his door. He gave it some food and water and expected it to carry on its way. We get lots of dogs loose around here, usually lost hunting dogs. He was very shocked to find the dog still in his yard when he came back last night.

The poor thing is clearly elederly and I guess has been abandoned before it gets too expensive. If he takes it to SPA it is unlikely to be adopted and neither of us have the time or money to take on a dog.

Poor dog.
