Mr Z having a meltdown because I was looking for the torch to see if the rear light bulb fitting was a screwdriver or allen key, because I don't want to waste the morning getting it sorted because I am off out for the day. WTF?

No semiformal dress to be found. Well not one daughter will wear anyway.
Totally frustrating. There are loads of cheap formals for the end of year kids. But out school decided that they wouldn't have a yr 10 formal now that they have to stay to yr 12. But they will have a school dinner and all the girls are madly trying to find a 'semiformal' dress and hoping the boys will ask them to a dinner instead of to a formal. What idiot at school thought it would be cheaper and easier to not have a formal? Barstewards! Have spent the day with daughter in and out of dozens of shops. Now she's feeling like an elephant as they seem to specialise in size 6-8 Hate that.
I wish I'd had a cleavage like she has when I was 16! Not that I want her flaunting it at the boys No, no, no! But she has a figure. And there are no dresses for itAli

Oh, I need a rant. OK then: the Poundsh0p which has 2 lines of customers in a space that's only wide enough for one human, so you've got a lot of very hot, very cross people pushing & shoving each other to reach the till
Someone buy them a velvet rope, and organise this shi*
And my being awake from 1:30am till now ... I decided to have a glass of wine instead of my painkiller (they shouldn't mix), so woke up with stiff aching back cramps and now can't get back to sleep. I'm getting up for some Marmite toast now, sleep looks increasingly improbable & a lie-in's out of the questionLast edited by Two_Sheds; 10-11-2013, 04:33 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Why did you turn the chocolate temperer off overnight? What energy have you saved?
Now, instead of a tank of melted chocolate, I have a solid square foot brick which will take days to melt. We are leaving on Friday, fair is on Saturday.
So, you may have saved as much as a few pence in energy, but we will have lost as much as £200 in sales plus the cost of the chocolate.
Well done. Excellent.Jules

Not having a good day!
Bedroom coffee machine has packed up.
Went shopping for new table mats ( needed for 6, on Sat) fine, bought 2 packs of 4, (8), but only bought 1 pack of matching coasters! (4)!
Bought new espresso coffee cups, they have to be returned as are slightly smaller, than ones we have, and coffee just overflows, slightly.
So looks like another shopping trip, 30 miles round trip!

We're classy here, RL - I have either a sleeping-bag or duvet opened out on the kitchen floor this time of year. Great for catching the hair and loose mud, soaking up the wet footprints, and drying the dogs. Easy to wash and dry too, as they have that synthetic filling. All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment
