Mulled wine cause so I don't deserve any sympathy!

Christmas tree lights . One set decided to pack up, spent two hours trying to find someone who sell replacement bulbs, only to be told repeated that no one sells them any more. Took them off the tree at which point they started to work again!

the supermarket that wants a bit of everyone else's business reducing their turkeys to half price leaving those who bought sensibly earlier still bearing the whole price. Bah humbug

The herman friendship bread has stuck to the bread tin. And the next day is so solid it's going to break the knife. Hmm.

Tucking in to a full steak & salad dinner yesterday - I didn't have chips, I was very good - followed by a minuscule slice of After Eight ice cream desert. I could see my mother watching me (as she tucked into a huge slice of Christmas pud with Brandy Sauce) and then, just now with my coffee, I had three tiny continental biscuits, so my Ma had to say 'I take it you're going on a diet in the New Year?'

I'm 5ft2", I don't even weight 9st8lbs....FFS!!!

Really cheesed of now,first the putor and phone wont talk to each other,today,i put new ink in the printer,and it wont work,now just descovered the bloomin central heating is not working,DH thinks it's the thermo coupler,we on the gas sceme,the earliest they will come is,between noon and one pm tomoz,the only gas fire is in the dinning end of the room,plus a little fan heater,i thought the heating was on twice a day ,when i realized different,uggggh,could have tolled them earlier,

My rant.
I come on here after the most stressful time of year for most people expecting to be entertained by pages of moans about bad xmas experiences, there aren't any!
I guess you all had a good time.

People who think that what you have bought them for Christmas is, in some weird way, equal in value to how much you think of them.

A theory that never works when the Christmas stocking is on the other foot

And other people who have to telephone and tell you that 'so&so was not at all happy with your little gift'

And a rant on behalf of the BH: People who tell you not to get them anything for Christmas, but who then telephone you to ask where their gift is and why didn't you get them anything.

Someone I volunteered with years ago. She was an amazing lady. We used to meet up after we stopped volunteering and have lunch a couple of times a year. She was one of those great people who always had so much energy and get up and go.
