Our local residents organisation has a stall at a local "event" & has been informed that we are not allowed to sell tomato plants (grown by Madderbat)as they are "edible"? Our residents chairperson is going to take no notice & sell them anyway. Who would want to eat a tomato plant?

Believe it or not i was once driving past the gigantic Severn Trent sewage recycling works at Minworth and two men were clipping a hedge with two time and motion (no pun intended)study men watching them with a single time and motion man watching them they are the watchers

I think someone has misinterpreted the rules (maybe a tad over-zealous?). You have to be very careful when selling "prepared" foodstuff and edibles such as cakes, jams, preserves etc as you probably need to prove what's in it, where it was made, and whether or not the maker holds a food hygiene certificate, but I've never heard of any restrictions on selling home-grown plants (except cannabis, SORRY LJ)
