Weeeeeeeee!

I've got a day off work tomorrow and Mrs H and I are off to the Hampton Court Flower Show!!!

We haven't been for a good few years so really looking forward to it. Even the frankly rubbish preview programme on BBC this evening hasn't dampened our enthusiasm!

We're going to queue for hours in a hot car to get into the £10 car park, get ripped off for a £3 programme, get far too hot walking round and having a cringe at the show gardens before being ripped off again for a £3 cup of tea and a £6 sandwich...

But still, can't wait!

This year they've split the show up into zones, which means I can avoid most of the "creative zone" (even though it's Dairmuid-free this year, he couldn't get a sponsor tee hee) and concentrate on the stuff that is more gardening related. Hope to come back with lots of plants and planting ideas too. And maybe some pics.

Any other grapes going this year?

Yes, I'm going for the first time ever, on Wednesday, was going with friend but sadly for she may not be able to make, due to bad back. I didn't see the Reviews on TV, and am really looking forward to going.

I read in the paper today that Dairmuid's masterpiece was going to be a big Willy Wonka themed piece. Luckily when his plans fell through the Eden Project stepped into the void and they will have a mini-dome containing tropical butterflies instead. Potentially a big improvement and I'm looking forward to seeing it. It could be a bit hot in there though...
