I've just remembered that years ago we needed to move railway sleepers from the front of the house ( where they were delivered) to the back garden and we filled loads of bottles with water, lay them on their sides, and placed the sleepers on top of them- then just rolled them along.

I made this snowman about 10 years ago from an Art Attack programme - still got him - he has fresh tinsel and a new coat of paint every once in a while. He's basically a one litre bottle with a plastic bag stuffed full of paper joined to the neck of the bottle for the head, with a paper maché coating.

I'm one of those people that will keep half a dozen old plastic bottles in the kitchen 'just in case!'
Mr. G moans, and so I throw them away, then wish I hadn't, as I usually need one the day after the bin men have been...
