  • Price of spuds

As anyone noticed the price of spuds lately.

SWMBO came back from her volunteering at the old folks home and told me a couple of stories.

First the cook was moaning about having to pay over £22 a bag for bakers and then one of her friends joined in explaining that last Saturday she paid nearly £2 for under 2 kilos of new spuds.

SWMBO is now very happy about me spending my time in the garden.

I did a little scan on 'my supermarket' and a packet of baby new potatoes were £1 per kilo in april but are £1.45 per kilo now. This is across the board apart from ocado where they are £2.

I really should put a value against what I grow, it would be interesting to know.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
