Got bit in three places on my leg and two have turned nasty.

Lavender or tea tree oil helps with itching bites of any kind.

Had to get antibiotic from the doctors and am treating alternate days with honey poltices

If you've got nothing else to hand, sugar mixed into a paste with a couple of drops of washing up liquid takes the itch and pain away.
