Thank you all for the kind wishes regarding Rosie, she is a real trooper, i had to take her to the vet yesterday so he could check her operation, she was a little resistive in going in there, "Your not letting them take another one chum" she said.
I am in awe of her resilience, she is coping really well, she has a bit of trouble getting out of the car so i have to help her but she jumps into it like a puppy. Her favourite treat is eating cucumber leaves and carrot tops. I usually tell her off but at the moment I am being indulgent.

      • Morning All......Nippy but promising out there. The air smells different in the mornings now, but still nice. I love the smell of Summer mornings, but I like the smell of frosty mornings too. Hopefully, it'll be a while before we see any though!

Sounds like a lovely time was had by all, Susie! I hope the memory keeps you going through the next few weeks to half term!

I can't do much more mapping today, just some neatening up. I am four maps short (Isle of Wight up north through to Oxfordshire) to go behind the loo, but I've found them on the 'Bay.

I might get yesterday's plans put into action today - finish one cushion and start another. Will have to stop mid-afternoon though as it's schnitzel for supper so there is pork to be hammered flat and then egg-flour-and-breadcrumbed. I must get some to brave the cobwebs and pick me some sage....

            • Afternoon all. Gallivanting this afternoon, spot socialising. Really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

Had so much fun yesterday with the parents and the poly. Just need to work out what to do with it over winter now!

              Have fun all!

                • Shattered. Just dug out a 10' palm, as we're having a patio laid soon - decided to move it rather than cut It down and take it to the tip.

I know it's the wrong time, but got a huge root ball with it- dragged it around the side of
Our house and put it in the side garden. Broke my wheel barrow as it was so heavy- wife was swearing at me saying its impossible.

                  I didn't think so

                  Bath tonight I think!

                    • Blimey, well done Chris! Evening All. Drama this morning as middle GG (15) was taken to Children's A & E. The pain in her tummy was so bad she couldn't walk. Horrible to witness. Turns out she has a UTI. She's home now, but still in some pain until the antibiotics and painkillers start to work. Poor lamb. After full English breakfast I've been making passata and ratatouille most of the day, so we've just had pizza and sausage rolls for dinner. I do miss a roast. Enjoy the rest of your evening

                      • Eeeeeeeeeeeevenin' Peeps! Made it, all scrubbed an' clean an' dressed like a female (for a change) to the BBQ. Actually had a fun time, and met up with some chums I hadn't seen for a while. Wished we'd gone later, so we could've stayed later but hindsight, an all that...

The only blot on the proceedings was the attendance of the idiot bloke that Mr.G used to work with - the one I really really couldn't stand - but I chose to be good as it wasn't my party after all. I even spoke to it, which was very well-mannered of me.

Pooped now, so will bid you all good night and sweet dreams.

                        • Hi everyone, Spring has sprung - yesterday! Kindly having some sun and no wind which is odd here. The no wind bit. I shall, of course, be complaining of snakes instead of cold by next week!

Made it through the winter - just. Everyone was over it early this year.

I've got some rhubarb from a friend to chop up and plant (can I plant pieces without leaves as cuttings? There are 3 big clumps, and I love the stuff.)

I've taken cuttings from the currants and berries and put them in, hoping for the best.

And have no leaves yet on the trees I took cuttings from on the way back from Canberra in autumn. Still hoping tho - optimist!

Chris - lol at your wife swearing Her saying you couldn't do it, probably made you more determined!

Good to see you Feral, have you come out of hibernation now? This is where your weather gets better and you have lots of crops to make us jealous and we start moaning about frosts and dark nights! Funny old world innit?
Nice bright morning here - no complaints yet Have a good day everyone

                            • Morning all. Bright but very windy out this morning. Think I will have to stick extra pegs on the washing. I have been promising baking for OITC's staff room for three weeks now... suppose I ought to get my bum in gear, but the doggy snuggling me says differently.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
