  • Just done a little research for dividing the rhubarb I got yesterday. Hopefully I can make 10 of them! Picked up some mulching hay, but sadly most of the dud hay was full of thistle this year.

And when we we(n)t to get the hay I forgot to turn off the tap, so the mulberry tree has had a good water....but there will be no water for anything else till we pump tomorrow. Some days :?

    • Morning, its nice and sunny here but without Flo's wind

Feral you only need the root bit for rhubarb to grow, they sell it over here in bags that looks like its dead but soon spring to life so long as you plant it the right way up

      • Morning All, Morning Fez! Lovely day out there, a bit breezy but warm.

'Twas cold in the night though - the BH opened the bedroom window (closed to prevent earache as it's on that side of me) to let Charlie cat in and left it open. So then he got cold and pulled all the covers off me. Might soon be time to put the duvet back on the bed........

How you feeling this morning, Chris? Not too achy. Hope the GG gets better soon, Flo.

No sewing yesterday - my cushion-a-day plans have gone astray. I did some more mapping in the bathroom and then spent ages sealing the maps with waterproof PVA. It's quite stiff so it was hard work, and you have to be careful you don't over brush it when it gets tacky, or you don't get a smooth finish. I need to buy some more to do all of the mapped walls. But we're getting there - might be finished in there by Ch******s.

        Coffee?

          • Wowsers, it is wild outside. Bright blue skies, 35 in direct sun and blowing a gale. 30 minutes to dry the washing. The noise of the wind howling through the windows is like something from a Hammer House film, even the dogs are twitching at the noise.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

                No, it is not.

I am wearing jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt; and I debated putting on a jumpie, earlier.

I've been having a laundry day. Not my favourite pastime, but needs must. Clothes done, dried, and put away. Bed stripped, first load on the line, second in the machine.

                        • G4 I've bought new shorts today Wanted some baggy football style ones for when I do my morning workout. Then I can potter about in them until I feel like getting showered/dressed instead of wearing some skimpy thing that i wouldn't answer the door in

I'm grouchy, so I won't stop long. It might be catching.

If'n I leave an empty glass, can someone put something deliciously alcoholic in it, please?
