    • Evening all. Going to curl up with the intro book to counselling.

Hope you've had a nice day, beyond the elements.

One day, granny flo needs to tell me which game she plays. I have visions of her playing war craft or or that new game that came out today.

I've done that before. When we lived in Aberdeenshire, it was only properly dark for maybe two to three hours (if that) per night by the end of June. I used to go gardening in my nightie at 4am; pottering about in the perfect peace with a cuppa in one hand and a trowel in the other. Bliss!

I am sat here, still yawning, but come bedtime I'll probably have a second wind. At least, with #1 Son being away, I can go and sew (his bed is in part of the workroom) or I can sit and knit in bed. I must get some sleep as I'm in the costume shop tomorrow afternoon, covering for a few hours.

The weather is still foul. The wind is gusting, it's still pouring with rain. Winter has arrived, forget any thoughts of Autumn, there will be no leaves left to change colour at this rate. Chooks were in bed by 6pm....

          • My Chooks went to bed early this evening, too - very blustery, and although it had stopped actually raining, the wind was wet.

Don't think I'll be late to my pit tonight either. G'night all, sweet dreams.

            • There you go. See? Just finished sewing....appliqueing an eight letter name - hope to heck they've given me the right spelling, it's Filipino. I ache now, hunched over the machine for so long, but I've done the complicated bit at least.

              • Good morning all, it's a brisk morn out today, no wind but still bladdy cold. Still aching a tad but I guess it's just an age & seasonal thing.........have good days whatever you may do.

                • Sent son out to fill in wombat holes - bluddy animal! Bad enough having to fill in under the gate each morning but he dug up half the back fence getting out last night Grrrr!

Son also had to redo the outside of the clothesline as the wind had broken it (least the pegs worked)

I have filled up several trays with potting mix and put in some seeds - GAME ON!

Figured I'd get some started for me, and also some for the seed swap. And also because I feel like growing something!

Took cuttings from the rosemary, french tarragon, oregano.

Evil Kitty was parading along what I call my seedling area, but he calls the cat exercise unit. I've tried to place the seedlings so we can both stay happy.

Blowing a gale outside, so not much done out there. Hoping tomorrow is less blowy so I can put some seeds directly into the ground. I love wet earth!

Need to go get the teenager. She has several assingments due this week before school holidays.
Who wants to bet the printer runs out of ink during the printing of the photos for the photography assignment? It's rained, so delay on getting photos of a friend doing ballet at the skate park....

                  • Good Day to you all Looks like a more peaceful day today. The wind has dropped and the rain has stopped. Today I'll make a break for it and head eastward - see how many oversized courgettes are lying in wait
Glad you're on the mend BM

                        • Morning All, cool but sunny here this morning. There was also a very red patch of sky first thing, so we'll see if there's rain later. Nice to hear you're feeling a bit better Mally. I've been dreaming about a ginger cat RL, but I can't remember the details! Have a good day everyone

                          • Morning All.....it's still not good out there but looking to brighten (I hope) From my windows, VC has much the better weather out by there. It blew all last night causing a ferocious draught in through our windows, glad it's died down a bit now.

Hoping to get this cushion finished ready to take into town with me later. I've got another seven, plus festive stuff to make, and I want to get cracking with that over the weekend. Best to keep on top of these things.

Glad you're feeling better, BM. Keep the back warm in this cold!

                            Coffee, anyone?

                            • Morning and doesn't it make a difference not waking up to wind and rain. I'll tidy the garden debris later and pick up the litter that blown around out front.
