Bit better thanks VC, but the weather's not helping. Dark and damp here at the moment.

Morning all - we got back last night after a 3 night break - one night in Portsmouth and 2 in Sandown, IoW. We had a lovely time, the weather was really good, ate and drank far too much and walked miles! The IoW is really pretty. Carisbrooke Castle and Yarmouth Castle both great. And Stonehenge was fantastic. Discovered a major benefit of being an English Heritage member - you get to queue jump! A little grey here but the sun is trying to break through. My next door neighbour watered the greenhouse for me when I was away, thanks Ann. But I know there will be gazillions of beans and courgettes at the plot. So runner bean chutney and courgette and ginger jam. And a ton of washing! Have a good day all. It's lovely to go away but it is even better to come home

Morning its dull here as well RS but I'm hoping it doesn't rain or there'll be no way I'll get a 12year old to go walking.

G'Mooooooooornin' Peeps! Everybody well?
Glad you had fun, Susieq. Hazel, I think RL is right - I've spent some time in the last two weeks pruning and reshaping a couple of these in various gardens. They'll probably flower again now.

Morning All....Dank & drizzly here, really horrible.
Not feeling well, so in a mood that matches the weather. Very, very, tired and achy - woe betide any idiot customers today. Yesterday we had a young couple wanting to make vintage clothing. They had out shedloads of fabrics, messed up the bale stacks, pulled out loads of patterns (I had to ask them a) not to help themselves to pattern from the cabinets and b) not to open and remove the contents of the pattern envelopes) and they picked my brains til there was nothing left and then said......wait for it......now they knew what patterns and fabrics they wanted they'd buy everything from the internet!! Yeah. Thanks for that. I'll just clean up after you, will I?
Hazel - looks like those triangles were measured to fit your square before you added the border. Can you add the triangles and then border it? I'm no quilter so ignore my ignorance. BTW you'd love the box of tone-on-tones that we had delivered yesterday. All cream tones, they'd match your patchwork beautifully!
Right, off for another day - Thursdays are usually hectic - then home again to do a massive clear up before HRH Ma arrives on t'bus tomorrow!
Help yourselves to coffee - it'll have to be instant, I've got the filter machine in the shop!!Jules
Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

Thanks for the plant id, RL & G4, I'll let mum know.
I wondered if the size of the setting triangles was worked out without the sashing strips too, Jules - I queried it with the designer, but she says that's what it should be. For once, I don't think it's me at fault - I certainly can't get the triangles to fit as they are, so a little creating stitching later. Fortunately I have enough fabric to effect a fudge!

Cheers VC
The slugs have some nice new blue smatys to suck on,the flying rat is no longer capable of flight, the tree rat also liked bread, but was none to good at holding its breath & I suspect the cat had a snack that contained tomato juice,so 4 out of 6 are resolved Computer virus is annoying & my own ineptitude is inevitableHe who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame
