Evening Bren, been lovely and sunny here too, so I've managed to potter about all day. Really cheesed off that I've been ill for most of my holiday, so I'd better make the most of the 3 days I have left
The BH has come up with the idea that I should run the shop two or three days a week to give his parents a break. Yup, fine. Who gives me a break? Oh, and what do I get paid? Nothing? You mean nothing at all? Ok, I see a flaw in this plan. How about you doing it, love, they are your parents after all.....
Clearly that is a daft move, however, if there's room in the shop (or a backroom) you could host sewing bees once a week/month - people pay good money to join the club so you draw a wage; they buy the fabric at MIL shop. Win win?
I've started attaching my triangles that I cut last night - I am Starch Queen - those bias cuts aren't going ANYWHERE till I get them sewn!
That's enough concentration for one night - now I'm off to the pub.
Goodnight All, see you on the morrow. What have you done with VC BTW?
p'haps she's got lost with the experts ......
Ow doo .......
late on parade again .........still pretty much got everything ready for the weekend now......OH looked at the amount of boxes and said maybe it's time to get a van
S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig a batch of jam is always an act of creation ..Christine Ferber

Hey Flo... Sorry to hear that... Some workplaces will return your holidays if you have been sick when actually on hols. Might be worth checking out? Nothing to lose....

I love spray starch. It's such a helpmate.
You don't want to see the back room in this shop. It's gross, disgusting - certainly not somewhere you want to spend any time, especially not with precious fabrics.
Anyway, one string of brightly coloured batiq bunting made to hang in the window. Tomorrow night I'm making a string of Ch******s bunting to go in the other window with all of the FQ fabric gift sets & parcels I've made up today!
Night All!

Evening all...
Went for a run this evening.... then home to dinner with home grown Mizen potatoes and beans and carrots.... And chicken stuffed with sun dried toms wrapped in bacon... Yum!!
Finally got some of lawns mowed too.... Red wine and jellies time now
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Did I tell you that I'm partaking in a Christmas quilting challenge - making a festive item no more than 96" around the edges in total BUT - wait for it - not using any RED or GREEN fabric.

This is mine so far...

No chance of doing that with my MinL's Ch******s fabric selection - although, having said that, she does have some fetching black or cream scrolls printed with gold. Apart from that it's very traditional. And boring. I love the Holiday fabrics from America, not so much into the traditional holly & poinsettias.
Right, off for another day......see you later!

G'Mooooooornin' Peeps! Wet underfoot, but sunny - if anyone's interested!
I love those quilts, ladies. My chum's Mum is a quilter, and makes them for family gifts. I once enquired as to the price, and she told me I couldn't afford one!
Hubby's gone to work, Dogs are fed, and asleep on our bed. I'm planning to go and watch a chum's horse compete locally (out on loan to a young trainee Dressage rider), which should be fun.
You feeling better, Flo? Hope you have a successful weekend, Binners! Miss you on here since you've been so busy - maybe I should go get a life too...
First things first... Coffee?

JeanieD and her new puppy have just left. I'm sure Jean will tell you all about her before long
Grey and chilly here - feels like autumn has arrived.
