    • Morning all! Last day before back to college. So gallivanting. A bit sad that holiday are over. Glad that I spent most of it doing constructive things. This time last year, spent the summer in two different hospitals.

Trying to be positive. New academic year, new bit of plot. And the bloke hunt resumes.

      Have a lovely day darlings!

        • Here in sunny Torquay it is overcast windy and cold, I do expect it to improve. Yesterday at 8am it was glorious and went downhill after that. Hope it picks up for wednesday because the Red Arrows will be doing their annual display just over my runner beans.
Years ago I went to my sisters who lives next door to Greenham Common to see the air show from her garden, We had lunch outside. I still swear to this day that they used my plate of ham and salad as a target on their downward runs. in fact I proved it as 8 American starfighters headed from 20,000 feet towards my dinner because I quickly slid my plate sideways and I swear the entire display moved sideways by a foot. As they reached the bottom of their dive they turned so close to the ground I could have nubbed out my fag on them. The downside of all this intimate contact was that we and all our lovely food were covered in fuel exhaust. Incidentaly the Red Arrows had a distinctly better class of exhaust.

            • Enjoy your Bank Holiday, those who have one.
Normal working day here and I'm sat with a knee swollen to twice its size. I have no idea what I've done, we were hiking on Thursday and I did fall on a steep bit but no pain and it carried on working fine. Not now.
I have spuds to dig and more worrying, 25m of concrete drive to lay on Thursday. I'm in charge of the pipe and moving the lorry on. That'll be entertaining on one leg. I have a feeling I may fall in ...

              • Sounds very painful, PP.

I just got side-tracked whilst getting dressed; found the shaped ready pasted border, that I bought years ago in USA for our bedroom, in our wardrobe. Can't think why I never got round to putting it up - with #1's help, it only took twenty minutes. Or five years and twenty minutes, depending on how you look at it! I love ready pasted stuff!

                        • Hot here too, so I've come inside to cool down a bit. Nice glass of cider might help too.

Thought I'd just pop by and say hello.

                            "Hello" Hope everyone is well.

Just back from walking the poochies and we are all melting in the glorious sun. Loving it.

I promised a cake for OITC's staff room so I better shift miself and get baking. Caramelised onion pizza for tea tonight needs making too. No rest for the wicked.

                              ... indoors, doing Mr.G's invoices.

I think he feels guilty, as he has just declared that we're eating out this evening, so I'm off to find some glad-rags. Catch ya later!

                              • One tweed fox cushion almost done.......just got to finish the raw edges inside.

Have stopped for supper - homemade burgers for them, I'm having ham & egg salad. Too warm for anything heavier.
