Um. Yes, it is - like 1.5p per min x 60min = 90p an hour
    90p per hour x 24hr = £21.60 per day
    £21.60 per day x 365 days = £7,884 per year.

I think one of us may have a decimal point in the wrong place.........?

    • Prevening All.....Still nice outside.

Where has the day gone? I don't seem to have achieved anything in particular. I telephoned my cushion commission lady to double check on her choice of colours. Just as well, because she has now completely changed her mind about her personalised cushion, but still wants the original plan (with a few changes) for her son. So that's two cushions now, with the possibility of more at a later date.

We are eating at DD's tonight; doubtless it'll be wedding talk all evening

        • Evening All. Gunshot heard in the area this afternoon I was at work, but Himself heard a bang, but thought nothing more of it until half a dozen police cars and armed policemen taped off the road above out house! Door to door enquiries this evening and don't the police look young these days They don't think anyone was hurt. The policeman said that we were a nice little block in an otherwise "troubled" area. There's no wonder my veg garden gets looks of astonishment from passers by! This is one of the times when I miss my German Shepherds and yearn for a lottery win.

Taking 5 fennel plants to work tomorrow for a colleague who is just starting out. Her topsoil was delivered at the weekend and she's raring to go. I was hoping to have brassica seedlings to pass on to her, but the slugs have put paid to that idea.

That's a bit disturbing Flo - glad there wasn't a body involved Its not just policemen who look young these days.............
Here Trip,- pass your glass, it'll help you out of that pickle you're in
Its been a funny old day - 3 different "young" men, although my brother doesn't quite fit in the "young" category, nor does Norman the roofer for that matter........... I must be up early tomorrow, Norman will be back and he likes to go out on the roof via my bedroom window
That'll give the neighbours something to talk about - and Potty if he's reading this

                    • Mornin' all. Coffee here too, I'm afraid Trip.

                      Flo - that's pretty scary!

VC - any excuse for a man in your bedroom huh?

Must run, running daughter into school today, needs a bit of loving as she's got the Maths teacher gunning for her again. Honestly, you wonder who is the teenager some days. Feel like knocking both their heads together, as my mother would have said. However, that is against the law. Might have knocked some sense into one of them tho

                      • Good Morning All.....shoving it down out there. Garden does need the rain but my laundry is still out. That was the last thing I said as we went out last night; Boys, please get the laundry in.......it's sodden now. Thanks guys...

Picked raspberries to take to the DD's for pudding. They are having a second fruiting after dying back a bit in the heat. Fewer berries this time, but they are enormous and very sweet. Wish I could say the same for the apples.

I would offer coffee, but I'm hoping to go back to sleep in a bit.......

                          • Morning All. Just a quick look in as I need to make myself presentable before the roofer arrives - although he won't want to go roof walking if it rains and the slates get slippy
