  • Making Up For Lost Time!

When shopping, I'm not a browser. It's usually get in, get what I want & get out...........but last week I must have had some time on my hands & noticed Heinz San'wich Spread which I've not had for almost 50 years............O.M.G.......I can't get enough of it, it tastes exactly the same as I remember unlike a lot of stuff. The jar is smaller than I remember or it could be my hands that are bigger.............. I just wondered if you had recently tried anything you haven't had for years.

I can't remember ever tasting sandwich spread so can't share your trip down memory lane. However, I nearly, very nearly bought a bar of Fry's Chocolate Cream yesterday. I'm sure there used to be one that was lime cream and one that had 5 flavours - if it had been lime cream I would have bought the lot

We bought a family pack of ringos! Can you remember them? "No ring goes like a ringo goes" I'm not sure if they taste the same as the last time I had them I was 16 - a very long time ago when they stopped making them. I was thrilled . they taste nice though
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

VC - we had those 5 flavour fry's bars too!

Chips (crisps) but those long thin ones called French Fries Hadn't had any for years, and then they suddenly started making them again. Still just as bad for you, but I love them. Worst thing is that my hand is now too big to get a handful and still get out of the bag

I REALLY want one of those Fry's 5 flavour bars now!

Went out for dinner a couple of weeks ago with my OH and my sister and for some reason they put popping candy on top of their home made profiteroles... my sister and I couldn't stop giggling as we remembered having this stuff when we were kids!

I definitely preferred the profiteroles without the popping candy but I wouldn't have wanted to miss out on the giggling with my sister!

                    Sardines on toast.

Often eat sardines - fresh and tinned - but haven't had them on toast since I was a nipper. Sooooo good.

I used to love sandwich spread as a child! Might try it soon.

I used to eat peanut butter m&m's as a child, ordered some a while ago. Way too sweet for me now...

Something I used to eat as a child and would like to try again if I could is flavoured salt. I remember roast chicken and salt and vinegar flavour. Used to put the roast chicken flavour on toast. Now I need to aim for 15g of salt a day it would be amazing to find it again.

As a child my husband says he used to love chocolate button sandwiches. And thinking about it I used to love crisp sandwiches, yummy!

So a couple of weeks later than intended, work has commenced on my anti-ratty tunnel today.

Dismantling the existing structure was a lot harder than I expected, a lot of stuck screws that no amount of WD-40 would liberate! So a lot of action for my sharp mate Stanley, my hand axe and my...
