you certainly have the room for it!

It will probably need one or two panes replacing, and maybe a few more clips here and there, but overall it is in good condition.

Obviously it will need a very good base as well. Solid concrete I would say.

I do think it will take the best part of a whole day to dismantle. And everything will need to be numbered up etc...

I can certainly spare a couple of hours over a weekend...

I am pretty busy at the moment!

Ideally he wants it gone within the next 6 weeks or so, so there is no REAL rush....

As you know I've been toying with getting a polytunnel - this would be so much better
Is it local? I'm wondering whether I could persuade someone with a van to help me move the frame in large sections. The less dismantling the better The spot I'm thinking of would need some levelling before it could be reassembled but I could store the pieces in the garage until that was done
      Now I'm getting excited

Sorry Sammy I've spent the last hour or so trying to work out the hows and wheres to put it If I told you the best place is between the 2 existing GHs it would make you even more jealous - so I won't

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeessss - I've been offered a 12x8 greenhouse. Thank you CG and your friend
I've decided where it can go but I'll need to clear and flatten a "rockery" that I constructed 30 years ago - on top of some conifer stumps. Not sure I have the physical strength to move those rocks now
Only this morning I asked the chap who cuts the grass whether he did landscaping work - Yes but only in the winter. I can't wait that long so may ask the men without shirts
                Getting very excited now

The neighbours know all about my little peccadilloes by now Potty
So tomorrow morning, armed with a can of WD40, I'm going to see the GH. Just need to sort some help to dismantle, transport, redesign garden and erect. I like a challenge

Thanks Potty. Its still raining here
I've been thinking about moving a 12x8 GH. That means the longest pieces are 12' (yes I know it obvious!) but to move a side panel, I need to find a big vehicle - or split it down into its components - which I'd rather not do. So what size van would take a 12' panel?
                        Would a transit van?

Have you any friends with tow-bars on their cars? You could rent a trailer - easier to lay pieces on an open flat bed than getting pieces into and out of a van.

Not a standard Tranny VC your looking about 9 to 10 foot max. You might get it on a roof rack if the glazing is removed, if you want it inside it would have to be something like a 35cwt Luton box van.

Thanks Potty. The glass will have to come out, obviously, Roof rack - I hadn't thought of that Wonder if I could get it on my car I have the rail thingies - probably need the cross bars. There are some in the garage but I've no idea whether they'd fit this car Yet another of life's little conundrums
