    Nutter!
You start by putting a seed potato in a bucket with some compost, as the plant grows taller - keep adding compost (this is called 'earthing up') continue earthing up as the plant grows until the container is full. After the plant has flowered and the foliage begins to wilt, it's time to tip out the contents and harvest the lovely vegetables.
Now chop the vegetables into chunky strips and fry in hot oil, then serve with Vienna Schnitzel...yummy.

In case you hadn't noticed, I kind of cheated.
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

Can we count the Cocoa bean? It is a legume......

I suppose we ought to attribute it to Mexico, and the Mayans.
