  • Blog Advice Needed Please

    Hi All,
I'm looking to start a blog, I had a 'blogger account' but it really is a crude affair, very 'clunky' and not much choice in the design department. Can anyone recommend a blog site please?

    Many thanks S.G

I blog with: Vegblogs which is in in conjunction with vegetableseeds.net.

If you blog regularly (once a month) and include photos they send you a £10 gift voucher twice a year to spend on seeds on their site!

I don't find blogger.com clunky - but then I perhaps it depends on what you're expecting! Wordpress.com would be the most popular alternative to Blogger, I would have thought, although I can't comment on Wordpress ease of use/flexibility etc.

I guess you'd find some limitations in both (especially if you have a background in web design and are used to having a free hand in terms of widgets and add ons), but for those of us without those skills I think blogger is more than adequate - especially as it is free to use.

There are many 3rd party customisations, so you are not limited to the dozen or so 'stock' designs that you chose from on setting up your blog.

I use blogger, too, and only find it clunky when trying to move photos around. But then again, I don't have a technical background.

          Thanks All,
I have built websites in the past, but now I want something a little more simple, but with the graphics of a website so there lies the problem I'll have a look at your recommendations and see if I can't sort something out.
