Sausage dilemma

Ok, bear with me I'm a little grumpy.

My dearly beloved, defrosted some delicious local sausages in the fridge, which we were having for tea, at some point today when they were fully defrosted, she put them back in the freezer. Head not screwed on....argument ensued...

Anyway, she's adamant they have to be thrown out, but to me they are far to nice to throw away. Is she right?

Am I still able to save my beloved sausages?

If I ate sausages, I'd eat them!! They're probably not even refrozen yet!
Just say you'll eat them and she doesn't have to!

I'd eat them too- but I'd defrost them soon and cook them thoroughly.

They have refrozen, but I was reading somewhere that something defrosted in the fridge and refrozen is ok, as its not left at room temperature for bacteria to build up.

Honesty anyone that wants to give an opinion please feel free, as I am continuing to defrost them again in the fridge and I will be cooking them and eating them irrespective of what the OH believes. Naturally I will taste a small bit for lunch tomorrow and if I'm not ill by tea I'll scoff the rest.

I'd eat them too. But I wouldn't let anybody with weak or compromised immune or digestive systems eat them, just in case.

The taste and texture won't be so good. When you freeze meat, ice crystals form in it because of the amount of water in meat. When you defrost it, these melt out of course. So next time you freeze, more ice forms, which melts out again. So your bangers will probably be quite dry in texture. You could always casserole them though

I think I may be joining Mikey and Flo (not literally of course). I was so engrossed in the Vine I've just eaten half a potato - the half that's left on my plate has big black tunnels going through it Hope it wasn't a slug - I don't eat meat

Sausages is serious business!!! I hope they were good. Our local organic shop does some downright gorgeous sausages even though they cost an arm and a leg. Might have to have some for Sunday. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
