For all the stargazers Everything you need to know: Perseid meteor shower | Astronomy Essentials | EarthSky
    Hoping for clear skies tonight!!

Its clear here now - lots of stars - but staring at them makes my eyes go funny I can't decide whether they (the stars) have moved, disappeared or I imagined them. The bats keep whizzing past my head too which is a bit offputting I'd love to see a meteor shower but at this rate I'll be asleep
Anyone else looking - or am I the only starry-eyed nutter?

It clouded over as soon as we went outside I didn't see any but The Boy saw quite a few. I had to come in after five minutes - I was just too tired.

          Maybe better luck this evening.

We saw 3 last night in about 15 minutes Going to have another look tonight. I love 'em, there's something magical about shooting stars.

Perhaps I should've been looking up when I was outside last night

                  Will adjust my gaze tonight!

We saw three on Saturday and one last night. Heard that the peak was last night but apparently that was incorrect and it's tonight. Sky looks a bit clearer so fingers crossed we see some!

"Skywatchers are advised to lie on a blanket or a reclining chair to get the best view." I may be sleeping in the garden then if the clouds clear away.

I watched this in 2007, it really was a shower and a spectacular sight. Every year since, I go out and nothing but clouds. Fingers crossed for tonight
