  • What can you do with paving slabs?

I wanted to do these random stepping stone patterns but I cannot grow grass on the top of the slabs! Is there anything I can do to make boring gray paving slabs look a bit nicer?

No, not really. If you want them as stepping stones you need to sink them into the lawn so the top of the stones is the same height as the soil level.

lay the slabs in a diamond formation, using this way as a basic, you can put them near together, overlap the next one by a few inch, then the third one the same only place on opersit side,so the diamonds are slightly conected with wavey look, even do the same with a space between each slab, they can meander in what ever shape you like, use bits of cardboard first,to see what effect best suit you, easier that lugging slabs around first, you could also knock a bit of off each corner for a different look,

You don't have to do a picture. Abstracts are good too
