  • Rowan?

    Pretty sure it is, but just wanted another nod

    All of a sudden I seem to see hundreds of these trees around, I think I've been walking around with blinkers on half my life.

            makes lovely jelly, I also use it as part of my 'hedgerow jelly' which usually has elderberries,blackberries, haw berries and a few apples in too

              Its a very berryiferous year for Rowan. My little tree is laden for the first time.
              I say Roe - an for the tree and Rowan Atkinson but Row (like bow) -an for the ex archbishop - don't ask me why

                              I suspect that the reason why you have noticed more is that there are more. My council have had to remove a lot of trees due to one disease or another over the last few years and many of the replacement trees put in have been rowan. Dont know if there is a particular reason for this choice though.
