  • Angry Breadmaker!

Put the Breadmaker on, making a nice cheesy/herby bread to go with Ratatouille, (using up courgettes and other veg!). Here I am downstairs doing some ironing, when there is an almighty crash, go upstairs to kitchen, and find Breadmaker, lying on kitchen floor! 2 tiny pieces have broken/ come off, the lid that I cant fix!

    What's all that about?

Have you tried contacting suppliers to see if you can get replacement parts?

They do walk, when they're agitating. I keep mine at the back too

Well, all was not lost! The mixture had obviously kneaded itself enough, and when I next looked, it had risen beautifully, and I took chance and baked it in hot oven, and it was ok!

On closer inspection ( with glasses on) it seems that the 2 pieces, have actually broken off the lid, we are gonna try super glueing, and if that doesn't work yes will be more 'dough' to get another !

Personally, I use a mixer with a dough hook attachment and prove in greased loaf tin and bake in oven, I don't like the hole in the bottom of the loaf from the bread makers....

Tried 'broken' bread maker, with lid just resting on top, as bits broke off!!And was ok, nice whole meal bread!

                            This is what I do.

I had a walking bread maker, so now it is placed on a rubber backed mat, stops it from moving, plus cuts down on the noise too.
