  • Confessions of a GYO-er

This is the thread to confess all.

Well, not all otherwise we will have to report you to the authorities.

Just those little things that might get you into trouble at home, not the big things that might get you into trouble with the law.

    I'll go first.

During these summer months when I have gazillions of courgettes; I peel them, take the fluffy middles out, chop them into potato sized pieces and pretend they are potatoes in your food; I even pop a few actual potatoes in just so that you know they are in there; but there are only a very small amount. The rest are courgettes.

I don't actually like sweetcorn that much... but I really love the plants so mine are mainly for decorative purposes!

And I 'borrow' seed heads wherever I go. In fact I only go to stately homes in order to get seed heads; hence never going to Chatsworth in the spring.

I can't stand peas but Mr PP loves them. I don't check the plants very often and when I do they always seem to have gone over. Oopps.

I buy too many seeds. I no longer have to pretend that I've had them in the seedbox all the time, I just have to pretend to myself that I really do need 20 packets of lettuce seeds.........they are all different lettuces ...........and they're different colours ............ and some are for winter sowing.......and some came free with a magazine.............and some only cost 50p..............and............and.........and.........
