  • Wet Weekend Activities

After a pretty wet night last night I've decided to spend the morning pottering...

It's due to dry up a bit soon so I'm going to have a go at making a trough for planting herbs in next year.

For now the drizzle persists and I've just gone through all my seeds and grouped them together again and I realise that next year I *really must* do this before going to the 50p a pack scamble... simply saying to myself 'I do have enough packs of beans' and 'whatever happens, don't buy any more tomato seeds' doesn't work! I should make an actual list and stick to it!

Is anyone else having a suitably laid back/revelatory morning?

Not raining here at the moment but due at 12. Going to try and mend shed window before it rains again. Did write jobs to do but most seem outside! Have got tin of prepared oranges to make cheating marmalade so might get that done.

Paula how did it go?? I wanted to do it for my hen night but it didn't happen, so my stepdaughter bought me a 'zorbing experience' for Christmas (actually I think she was trying to kill me!). It was really bizarre and I didn't like not knowing which was up. Can't say I'm in any hurry to do it again. I've already asked DH to nudge SD in another direction if she thinks of buying me anything else like that!

The rain held off here all day but the forecast for tomorrow is dire. DS is off to his grandad's all day, so DH, DD and I are going to watch The Hunger Games, which DD (11) has just read and loved. It's nice to have the chance to do something with her without worrying whether it's suitable for the four year old. There's only so much Pingu DD can cope with.
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?

OmG mess cordial it was AMAZING!!

It's a bit of a shocker when you get halfway down, gets really bumpy but it's a great laugh, although I did feel a bit queesy afterwards, we're gonna try the aqua 1 next time!!

Wow! I didn't really expect anything as exciting and exotic as zorbing!!!

My Saturday feels incredibly tame by comparison... spent the whole day sorting seeds and pottering in the green house!
