Had my details used from my debit card.
It was someone from the plumbers merchants
Using my card details and having stuff delivered to
    The merchants address.
    Got a refund
Changed cards and account numbers at the bank.

Also had a payment /card stopped once
Because I used it twice at a petrol station
My car broke down after filling up so got back home
took the OH car . It had no fuel in the tank when back to the same petrol station
Fill up tried to pay with the same card 10 minutes later
    And the card wouldn't work.
Had to pay use another card.
got back in the car and got a phone call
From the bank asking about the transaction.
    They unblocked the card

I was told they have computer program running looking out for unusual transaction

Thought it was good they are actively looking for fraud

    annoyed they stopped my card.

Also when I bought my house I it had credit
cards taken out at the address just a few weeks before
the exchange date neighbours said loads of stuff was being
    Delivered
Soon as I got the keys I changed the locks
Whilst changing the locks a comet van turned up
The driver was trying to deliver fridge freezer dishwasher
    Oven hod and extractor.

Noticed the estate agents sign had been remove and there was a very angry
looking man in a red van parked around the corner.

We had bailiffs coming around for years after.

Credit card companies still send me pre filled
Application with just a few details required.

The last time HSBC called me concerning this I was fairly alarmed to find that somebody had cloned my card and used it for a variety of transactions, before cancelling my card, realising it was me and then having to wait two weeks for a new one.

Well the bank refunded my transactions and had a new card with me within 2 working days. I can't fault that.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

A couple of false positives and one legit fraudulent. I wasn't even aware until they wrote to me stating they believed the use of my card was not by me. The telltale sign was a small transaction for a phone app the day before a before a big jewellery purchase in America.

I was asked a couple of questions including if I store my card details on any of the three websites they asked me about. I did on two of them. That lead me to believe that was where they were getting the details from hacking in to these sites.
