We had them out the front last night. If I hadn't had the Doofus on my lap, shivering like a loon, I'd've been out there giving them my best 'fish-wife' impersonation. @r$h0l€$!
G&T?

Love the idea of homemade Christmas cards - mum's friend sends a few each year, and they are lovely.
Know the feeling of the inadvertent hike, Jeanie - I took a wrong turn a few weeks ago in the park - it added an extra 2 miles to my run. I realised soon after I made the wrong turn, but was too stubborn to retrace my steps.
Glad you enjoyed your ride, G4 - I would love to ride regularly again, but I guess the only way I could afford to would be to hang around the stables an do all the 'orrible jobs in return for getting to get a ride; although it's normally pony-mad 14yr olds that do that, I think. I went out for a 9mile run instead - it was a lovely day for it.
Good grief - fireworks still? Not round here, thankfully.
Right, I have steak and kidney pie with mash and veg for tea - or I will have if I go and get busy in the kitchen...
Mmmmmmmmmm lovely looooooong soak in the tub. Dinner smells fab, too - can't wait - all that fresh air has given me an appetite. OK, we all know I have an appetite anyway, but I'm jus' sayin'...

I lost one of mine the other day. Came down to the kitchen and there were only 2 dogs. The missing one hasn't got a clue about going out through the dog flap so I knew she wouldn't be in the garden - and she's deaf so calling her was no good.
Eventually I found her, fast asleep on a dining chair that was tucked under the table. Goodness knows how she jumped up there.
If you banged a stick or something on the floor would she not sense the vibration? Have you tried her with a high pitch dog whistle?.............I'm sure you have.

The only way I can wake her is by touching her, or tapping her basket - or by persuading one of the other dogs to fan her with their tails
I haven't tried a dog whistle - I'll get one. It is a problem as I can't teach her recall. Today, on the beach, I had to keep her on the lead as she wanted to follow every dog in sight and I can't run fast enough to catch her
A dog whistle may be the answer.........I know it's a long shot but nothing to lose.
