And the milk had about an inch of cream on the top and we used to have a roster of whose turn it was to get the first pour of milk :P You don't get that now, they fix it so it seems like it was just shaken up!

Me back's sore, I'm a poor old woman. But the d@mn yard is looking half good. Some of those tufts of grass are MASSIVE! Hope the poor mower lasts till the end of summer, have two of them on their last legs.
Blimey, I cant get milk in Torquay yet they deliver the stuff all the way to Australia!!

We had a herd of jersey cows once and it was my job to skim the cream off some of it for my mother to make butter. On a five gallon pail there was 3inches of cream thick enough to put the ladel on without it sinking.
Our diets were rich in cream and eggs but it was ok because cholesterol hadnt been invented yet.

There are plenty of people in the club from following the "Bung it in and see what happens" philosophy.

              • Morning all. Bit nippy here but I'm not complaining because the sun is shining at last.

                • G'Moooooooooooooornin' Peeps. Sunny here, and I'm supposed to be busy, but I made the mistake of putting the poota on to see if the ruddy Estate Agent has emailed me details of that cottage. No, they haven't. Useless pillocks. However, having waited for weeks for anything suitable to come along, now there's several, and a viewing has been booked for another property.

Not sure who I loathe more, Estate/Letting Agents or Insurance Companies. But we won't go there!

Haven't got time for Coffee, so I'll see y'all later - have a good 'un.

                            • Youngest grandson confessed the other year that he didn't believe in Santa, then quickly said he thought the tooth fairy was real.. Anyway later on he said that grown ups still received prezzies at Christmas but he didn't know of any who had tooth fairy money so he was sticking with her for as long as he could.
