Morning all - the sun is shining here Yay! If it is dry enough later might drag OH to the plot and see if we can use the petrol strimmer that belongs to the site. It is still a bit jungly though I have been making inroads. He can strim and I can plant garlic. I also need to make green tomato chutney and preserve the last of the cukes - found a fabulous recipe for cucumber preserve .... it is really tasty (and easy ).
I cut out a lot of jam hats in the week and printed out my labels, so now I have to apply them to the jars .... this is the part of the job that I detest.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone, just quickly clocking in before I go to lottie to dismantle the kite, lovely & sunny here, have a good day.

Right, gotta go and put some washing on - I nearly said "put some clothes on" but that could have been misinterpreted

It's Saturday so that means taxiing for the kids for a while...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Dayight saving starts tomorrow - b*gger, Shoot and D@mn! It's pony club sunday and we're taking the D@mn spot for the first time in a year............not fair! Wish me luck!
I scored some wood today to make some things from. Stay tuned.
And some curtains. Got to love friends who are clearning their cupboards when you are looking for things.
Fabulous weather today, hoping for some more of the same tomorrow, and half a day of the same on monday for mowing, then it should absolutely pour for 1/2 a day. That's the order.
Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

Afternoon All. It's a Jimmy Cliff day up to now, but the clouds seem to be gathering as I type. Washing's out, passata waiting to go into jars, (hope you found it easy to make Trip) garlic to be planted later if it stays fine. Just put the lottery on - it's doubled in price, but Himself pays for it so I'm not bovvered
Cor blimey, wot a day. I didn't realise how much timber was holding the kite in place. Anyhoos it's all down and in the car..........now what do I do with it?..........

Well what to eat is sorted here. Chilli stuffed marrow, roasted allotment veg (potatoes, beetroot, onions and squash) with runner beans. To be followed by scone with jam and clotted cream. Bet I don't finish it all
