I was tempted to say "room" then, because "lounge" sounds rather posh. We say "in t'room" (as in front room) in Yorkshire. When I was little, we only ever went in the front room when we had visitors, or on special occasions, we lived most of our lives in the back. All the best furniture was in the front room and in our case the biggest telly. When I was a teenager I was allowed to do my homework in there.
Flo we say 'in front' not sure why because the rooms long and goes from the front of the house to the back, its just that like you, me and Mr Pots were both bought up having a front room anything else just sounded odd.
Its turned into a gloriously sunny morning - I could see the steam rising from the city as the roofs warmed up Went down to 5C last night. Washing's on - looks like I'm staying put for another day.
The dogs are in odd moods - Rosie still lethargic and disinterested in food and now Lily has decided not to eat her breakfast either - but so that Mary can't touch it, Lily is lying beside her bowl with her ear spread over the food, protecting it Dopey things - dogs

Best part of the day - off for a walk. It was almost dark at 6.30 last night - grey, dreich and generally 'orrible. Some lovely afternoon sunshine now.
It's dark already Managed two visits to the allotment today though. On my own this morning to barrow some more of the horse poo to my plot, and with my littlest helper this afternoon. We had to hide in the shed eating biscuits during a shower, but we managed to pick some more shelling beans and chop next door's blackberry back from the path so we can actually get to my plot more easily.
Evening well it stopped raining just long enough for me the fleece and cloche the last two courgette plants then the downpour came back. Never mind its supposed to be nicer tomorrow.
RL we closed our curtains at 1/4 to 6 because it was turning dark
Evening Bren and RL. Fine here, but cold. Early PJs tonight methinks. Definitely staying out of the way of the big screen tonight - Himself will be glued to the football. He's watching Speedway now.
Just finished voting on the Veg Show. It takes so long I've done it in two visits. I fail to see why we have to vote on the categories longest bean, tallest sunflower and heaviest pumpkin - surely they're a straightforward competition? Anyway, it was lovely looking at all the produce on there. Makes your heart swell. Off on the game now. I've just had a call from my daughter saying that her friend noticed my name on a job application site and now she can't find it. I hated telling her that it closed early - we've had 109 applications for a part time job!
Evening All Does anyone have some coffee please? Only instant - I'm not fussed on the real stuff. I've run out of coffee, can't believe there wasn't another jar stashed away. The only coffee here is some disgusting flavoured stuff - its so sweet and silky - horrid
But enough of my little problems, hope everyone else is OK
