Yep - wot the lady says ^^^^. HH. Work is like that - you have to be really lucky to do what you want to do, somewhere that appreciates you - and then it ceases to be work but a pleasure. You just have to keep plugging away at it until all the nice bits come together. So keep going HH, you enjoy your subjects so you're half way there. Now you need to find the right place to work - its out there and you'll find it Good luck and don't give in

Evening All - I iz back! Anyone for coffi as I have 3 jars now
I've been sleeping around this afternoon - bought a new bed. You do feel a bit daft trying to get comfy in public The salesman told me I could sleep until 6 which I why I'm just back now !!
He also told me that there was one lady who came to the store every Thursday morning and had an hour's sleep, then got up and went away again. Even I wouldn't be that brazen

Evening All. Still raining here. Managed to go through 50 of 124 applications today for the vacant part time position in our department. I'm afraid the shortlist is going to be very long. We are now allowed to randomly choose a shortlist (put them all in a hat and draw out however many you want to interview), but I will only do that as the very last resort. To be honest, I've never done it yet. All those people hoping for employment. It's only right that I look at every one of them, but it's tiring.

The marking can be done first thing tomorrow. I'm a great believer in work life balance; and some times have a moment of Star Trek and junk food is what helps. It will get done, I assure you! At the moment, brain is full of squashed flies. Just need to take a breath, me thinks.

As much as I like my subject, I do. Just not teaching it this year. The one positive today was being handed lets grow vouchers ^_^
