Put me down for the Triangle its the only instrument I can play even though we've got a few guitars, a didgeridoo, some harmonicas plus a piano in the house.
When I first got my violin, I was practising in my room and Ma shouted up the stairs 'What's that bl**dy racket?' I said I'm practising my violin to which she replied 'Well, stop practising now and play it properly' I think I was supposed to go from learner to Yehudi Menuhin in a little under a week..... I had to practise at school after that.
Right bedtime x

My boys used to play trumpet and cornet, when we came to live in the country the cows would moo everytime they played a note, no patience unlike our previous neighbours
Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

Bore da from the Wild West Torrential rain and very windy last night but it looks dry and calm out there at the moment .........and inky black! More heavy rain on the way they say
Still looking for my wellies...........Stay dry Grapes and have a happy day
Morning All. Love the avatar Mally Are the wellies in one of the greenhouses chick? Belting it down here and night-time-dark. Warm though - found that out when I put my coat on to go to the car. Have a good day
Morning All.......not stopped raining here since yesterday afternoon. Just had a torrential downpour, so I hope The Boy was safely on his bus and not caught out in it. Still mild enough not to put the heating on, but everything in the house feels damp Great Uncle Landlord didn't believe in a damp course, our floorboards are six inches above bare earth.
As it's so miserable, I shall spend most of my day at the sewing machine. I hope my chalk pen arrives today, I've given up using a chalk pencil to mark felt - it drags on the fibres.
Thought I'd make cassoulet for supper, not proper French cassoulet, but one with sausages in it instead of goose etc. With cauli mash.
Meanwhile, coffee?

I did sort of learn to play the flute - bladdy school loaned instrument spent more time being repaired than I spent having lessons though!
