  • Gosh VC that must have had you frantic. Glad everything is sorted now.
My hound is beside me on the sofa, worn out by walk no 2 today. She goes twice as far as I do because she runs everywhere in the park on her long lead - and I go in in the opposite direction. With springers you have to change direction all the time when they go charging off - making me dizzy zig zagging all the time! In the confusion I dropped the lead this morning, very scary, but bless her she came straight back when I called her. She also knocked me over which would have amused more than one passer by.
The cat also condescended to sit on my lap for a short while, with dog snoozing beside me. Progress!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

    • Evening All. Only 2 GGs here tonight, middle one is at a party. Thanks for the tips about buying fabrics. Welcome back WB and congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter. Poor VC, that was quite a scare Chick, hope you're over it. Hi Jeanie, your springer is making you springy and what a bonus that Maisie is tolerating her! I've been out shopping with my daughter today, lovely. Bought some (too many) onion sets and garlic bulbs (too many), they arrived yesterday with lots of spring flower bulbs (not enough).

      • Evening all... Busy day today doing some gardening, then mowing lawns and then headed off as our horse was supposed to be running... All races right up to ours ran off okay, horses in parade ring when it's announced that rest of meeting is called off due to a part of the track being deemed unsafe...
Disappointing but safety first I suppose...
Now ready to relax for the evening...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

          • Evening all, very late evening.

Went and saw Hamlet matinee. Can't say it left me in rapture. I like Shakespeare wallah, but this adaptation wasn't quite right. Hamlet was all very Peter sellers for me. Gearing myself up for Richard II not live in the flesh, but a live relay.

Just finished some homework for a course I have started. Tomorrow it's school work Sunday per usual.

            • Evening All....

VC I hope you put liberal amounts of brandy in that coffee!!

MyCat did not spend the night with me last night, which is unheard of. I was very bothered about leaving for the North at 8am without knowing where she was (not anywhere in the house or gardens, or garage)but she strolled in, cool as a cucumber, a few minutes before we left. We saw a dead cat on the way up - just heart-breaking.

#2 Son safely installed for his second year at Uni. The house is already very quiet and we've only been home an hour. Traffic was awful on the way up, and it took an hour to get out of Hull as we got caught in football traffic.

              Cream crackered now....

                • Hi all. Glad the pooches and cats are all home and safe, and tired out.

Have been a bit ho hum, tired and crabby from work, and then very messy when I get home.

Car had to have 2 new tyres for rego float goes in tomorrow for it's rego. All so expensive.

Massive amount of cleaning up today, and need to go in for the mower as well, hope he's had time to fix it, he's so busy it's been over a week now. Grass is over ankle high.

On the good side, fruit trees are flowering, broad beans also. Woboks let go to seed, and need to see if any of the seeds have raised their heads yet.

Been windy as, so too much to do inside and out at home. Work really does get in the way doesn't it?

                          • G'Moooooooooornin' Peeps! Sunny here, and having three dogs is proving 'busy' to say the least! I managed to get my back grass cut again yesterday - really short ths time, too, so maybe I won't have to do it again next week!

Better get the front jungle done today.

                            • Morning all. Bright and breezy here (the weather not me). The wind brought more apples down last night as predicted. Gathered up the good ones and left the others in a pile for the blackbirds.
